My name is Inga Realfsen, and I am the owner of Kennel Sigerdriva. I live in the town Skien, in Norway.

My interrest for dags have always been there I guess. I got my first "dog" when I was a cople of years, he was a piece of a pipe, and was called "Kom´an" ( means "Come on")

After that my family got a Norwegian Elkhound, I took courses and trained a lot with him. It was never easy, he was incredible headstrong, and also fysikal strong, so he was realy difficult to train for a girl on 12. In the years following I borrowed all the neighbors dogs, while I was dreaming of my very own dog. I was reading all the books I could find about dogs, and finally I saw the mudi.... this was in 1995.

In 1998 Blitz came into my life.
He was a realy special dog ( I guess everybody sayes that about their own dogs;)) He was happy, noisy and absolutly gorgeous!!! Inga og Blitz Photo: RealfsenUnfortunatly he lacked one quality; the quality to relax. He did compete some times in obedience, and managed to become International and Nordic Conformation champion. We had some fine years together, and he will never be forgotten.

With Blitz the interrest had come, I had found a breed I realy loved. I belive the mudi have comed to stay with me, they are dogs who realy loves their owners, and will do anything for them.

I think everything witch includs dogs is interresting , and have been doing things from deer tracking, IPO, agility and so on. But I think search and tracking and also herding is the most fun and interresting. I also like going to dogshows to show of my dogs!

Kennel Sigerdriva is not a big kennel, we have few dogs, and few litters.

Kennelname

Our kennelname, Sigerdriva is from Norse mythology.
I wanted a name who would symbolize strenght and knowledge, witch I hope we will possess with time.
Sigerdriva was one of Odins most wellknown valkyries, and her name means " she who leads to viktory" Maybe a bit ambitious.. ;) Odin is the greatest gods in Norse mythology, and the valkyries was his special helpers. Their task was to bring Odin the men who had fallen in battle. One time Sigerdriva did defy Odins wish and he put a spell on her, she should sleep a never-ending sleep.
Sigurd(another well know person in the Norse mytology) broke the spell, and as a thanks Sigerdriva thought him everything she knew. With this knowledge he could kill the dragon, and do all the big deeds he later was known for
